For treating many ailments, electronic measuring devices- for example blood glucose meter or blood pressure meter - are available that transfers recorded data to PC. 

However in most cases, for each measurement device, manufacturer-specific transmission software must be installed; in such a case imported data seldom matches with the already existing database.
